Field Service - Diesel Mechanic (Maintenance)

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive work assignments and customer schedules from the General Manager.
- Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic services on diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding job progress, estimated completion times, and service details.
- Provide timely updates to the General Manager regarding job status and any changes to the schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck at all times.
- Stock and manage daily inventory, tools, and all required documentation in the service truck (candidate must supply their own tools).
- Operate the service vehicle safely and in full compliance with traffic laws and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel truck and trailer maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
- DOT Inspection Certification and Air Brake Certification required.
- Must be capable of supplying and maintaining a sufficient inventory of personal tools needed to perform all job duties.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Proven ability to interact directly with customers in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Comfortable working independently on all makes, models, and types of diesel vehicles and repairs.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift 50+ lbs., and work in varied weather and temperature conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks efficiently in a mobile environment.
