Research Associate – Fundamental Equity (Education)

Position Overview:

The Research Associate – Fundamental Equity will support the Fundamental Equity Large Cap Value investment team by assisting with monitoring, reviewing, and reconciling trade activity, maintain POS files, coordinate with support teams on client requests and presentations, and identifying relevant research and information used to evaluate existing and new stock recommendations.

What you'll do:

  • Monitor, review, and reconcile daily trading activity and maintain the team's POS file.

  • Coordinate with support teams on client requests, deliverables, and presentations, reviewing for accuracy and quality prior to PM review.

  • Assist with Proxy voting instruction and execution.

  • Monitor news, earnings reports, economic data, and market developments.

  • Increase investment team productivity through identifying relevant research and information on existing holdings and new stock recommendations.

  • Leverage new tools and technologies to enhance data retrieval and streamline the research process.

  • Maintain proprietary factor analysis/reports on the aggregate portfolio and individual stocks.

  • Assist in portfolio monitoring, risk analysis, performance attribution, and transition/portfolio positioning as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Progress toward the CFA designation is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial databases/tools.

  • Experience using or implementing research tools.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for investing.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000 - $77,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
