Arvin Post Acute is looking for a dedicated Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful engagement. In this role, you'll support the planning and execution of individual, small, and large group activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and leading a variety of daily activities and events
  • Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities
  • Help create monthly activity calendars and maintain attendance records
  • Support activity care planning and documentation, including progress notes and assessments
  • Participate in resident outings, transport coordination, and discharge planning as needed
  • Ensure residents in all conditions, including those who are bedbound, receive personalized engagement
  • Keep the activity department clean, organized, and welcoming
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for working with the elderly
  • Ability to solve problems and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing job duties that include walking, bending, reaching, and standing for long periods
