ob Summary As an Activity Assistant, you'll help create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our residents. You'll support the Activities Director in developing and leading a variety of interactive programs that meet residents' physical, mental, and social needs. Your passion for helping others will shine as you foster connections and contribute to a welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist with individual, small, and large group activities, including games, hobbies, and social events.
Engage with residents to encourage participation and provide one-on-one companionship, particularly for those with limited mobility.
Help organize community outings and coordinate transportation for residents.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and individual resident progress.
Assist in planning monthly activity calendars and ensure the activity area is clean, orderly, and secured.
Ensure all activities and documentation align with relevant standards and guidelines.
Foster excellent communication between residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a long-term care or similar facility is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A compassionate, creative, and patient demeanor.
Ability to motivate others and work effectively as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
Willingness to meet the physical demands of an active role, including frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
