Advanced Research Scientist (Finance)



The Taylor-Clark laboratory, in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology at the Morsani College of Medicine University of South Florida, seeks a motivated Advance Research Scientist to conduct research supported by multiple NIH-funded awards. The Taylor-Clark lab investigates visceral interoception and its contribution to diseases of the airways, cardiovascular system and the gut.Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher, and work experience equivalent to two years in biological sciences or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience will small animal models, aseptic surgeries, and husbandry.
  • Experience with IACUC and IBC protocols.
  • Experience with dissection, tissue harvest and tissue processing for quantitative analysis
  • Experience with quantitative measurements of biological or chemical processes
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Attention to detail, high quality record keeping.

Excellent English writing and oral communications skills.

35% Dissection, tissue harvest and tissue processing for quantitative analysis

15% Assisting with product ordering and lab organization, updating lab protocols, and ensuring regulatory inspection compliance

10% provide data and figures for manuscripts and grant submission

5% Attending weekly laboratory meetings and meeting with PI to discuss progress and develop work plans. Practice safe work habits at all times, be knowledgeable about and adhere to university policies and procedures, and complete required training as necessary Apply
