Visiting Clinical Instructor-FCBHW (Finance)



The FCBHW is seeking a 12-month Visiting Clinical Instructor of Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) to develop and teach theory- and evidence-based curriculum to address workforce gaps in and enhance the competence of Florida behavioral health professionals in couples/marriage and family-related assessment and treatment planning, intervention, and supervision across the lifespan. The position will begin on August 7, 2025 and will be for one year, with possibility of extension based on funding and need. We seek individuals who bring enthusiasm, creative application of couples/marriage and family therapy across disciplines and settings, interprofessional collaboration, and a deep commitment to academic excellence and clinical care quality. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in distance learning and the evidence-based use of technology, simulation, and distance learning techniques to promote quality, accessible education across Florida. The position is a joint appointment with the Marriage and Family Therapy M.S. program.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters or above in a Counseling/Psychology field and identifies professionally as a Marriage & Family Therapist per the COAMFTE accreditation standards.
  • Holds a clear, active Florida license in Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Psychology or is immediately license-eligible at position start.
  • Professional experience and demonstrated in teaching and/or supervisor at the clinical graduate or post-graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduated from a COAMFTE accredited program.
  • Experience in developing and teaching online course
  • Holds a clear, active Florida license in Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT) or is immediately license-eligible.
  • Holds a Florida Qualified Supervisor (QS) designation.
  • Doctorate in a Counseling/Psychology field.
  • AAMFT clinical fellow or AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate
  • Has demonstrated success in teaching graduate level courses in marriage and family therapy
