Your Impact:

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Automation, your programming expertise is key to keeping truck bodies rolling off the line and onto the road faster than ever. You'll support and optimize automated equipment programs that drive precision fabrication, ensuring every truck body part is made with speed, accuracy, and reliability. Partnering closely with production and maintenance teams, you'll troubleshoot issues quickly, implement software and program upgrades, and streamline automation workflows-minimizing downtime and maximizing output. Your work directly fuels the fast, efficient delivery of quality truck bodies to customers, making an impact every mile of the way.

  • Automation Programming - Set up and fine-tune CNC press brakes, laser cutting systems, and robotic welding systems
  • Safety First, Always - Champion a culture of safety by following and reinforcing all company-wide safety standards
  • Quality - Refine programs and tooling, to continually improve the quality of our products
  • Blueprint to Reality - Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders with confidence and accuracy
  • Own the Uptime - Design and roll out TPM and preventive maintenance plans to keep machines running like clockwork
  • Stock Smarter - Identify critical spare parts and build a proactive stocking strategy to minimize downtime
  • Lead by Example - Share your knowledge and mentor team members through hands-on training and support
  • 5S - Layout and organize work-centers, to create a safer and more efficient work environment
  • Built to Move - Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting (up to 35 lbs), standing, bending, squatting, and reaching throughout the shift

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Programming-Savvy - Program and troubleshoot advanced CNC and robotic fabrication equipment like press brakes and laser cutters with confidence and precision
  • Equipment Experience - Familiar with Fanuc robots, fiber laser cutting systems, automated press brakes
  • Process Expertise - Must have strong experience with welding, laser cutting, and forming processes
  • Precision Obsessed - Accurately measure and inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and blueprints to ensure flawless quality
  • Tech at Your Fingertips - Use computer interfaces to fine-tune and optimize high-precision machinery for peak performance
  • Problem Solver - Spot the small stuff that affects big results; troubleshoot issues quickly to get operations back online
  • Safety-First Mindset - Perform regular safety checks and uphold a culture of safety across all equipment and processes
  • Prevent Downtime - Design and implement smart preventative maintenance routines to keep machines running strong
  • Ready When Needed - Flexible schedule to respond to urgent equipment issues-because uptime matters
  • Plan Like a Pro - Review part lists, incoming materials, and production needs to schedule continuous machine operation across multiple shifts
  • Data-Driven Workflow - Use tools like Excel and scheduling software to organize tasks and streamline operations
  • Programming Master - Create and tweak automation programs using OEM software to meet custom fabrication needs
  • Tech Translator - Collaborate with OEM technicians to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues remotely
  • Material-Smart - Know your metals-understand sheet metal gauge variations and how they impact production efficiency

What Sets You Apart:

  • Education: Technical Degree in Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years programming; demonstrated maintenance systems and work center layout experience
