Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented AP Accountant to support the accounting team in overseeing financial accounting & accounts payable. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and who takes ownership of processes.

Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures as well as federal and state regulations
Set up new projects in our Costpoint accounting system, including setting up proper revenue recognition
Review and process employee expense reports weekly
Be the go-to person for maintenance of the employee purchase & travel credit cards, through Concur
Maintain and monitor raw materials and work-in-process inventory projects in Costpoint
Manage prepaid expenses, including preparing monthly account reconciliation
Assist in financial and tax audits
Assist in Corporate reporting requirements
Complete end of month close procedures such as journal entries, and account reconciliations
Comfortable as a backup payroll processor, as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
3 years of experience in an accounting, specifically Accounts Payable & month-end close
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail with the exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent report writing, communication and IT skills
Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Accounting software packages (Costpoint)
Excel knowledge to include VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables
Meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills
Time-management skills
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in accounting software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Costpoint Accounting System very highly preferred
Experience with Concur, preferred but not required
Previous payroll experience preferred
Government Contracting
Knowledge of indirect rates
Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000
