Operations Manager (Project Management)

But reaching the next stage of our growth requires a keen focus on operational efficiency. This is a new role for Norlift. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
People
Leads, manages, develops, and holds accountable all Service Dept operations team members to their highest ability and performance in taking care of Norlifts customers according to Norlift core values. Interviews and hires all new department employees and facilitates their training.Promotes and holds team accountable to the high standard of Norlifts mission and values.Drives teamwork, accountability, and performance to achieve company growth and profit goals.Works collaboratively with leadership team to provide an exceptional customer experience for all Norlift customers.Maintains strong and professional relationships with dealer manufacturers and our other vendors.Collaborates with HR to ensure compliance with WISHA/OSHA requirements and all Norlift Safety programs. Collaborates with Norlift IT personnel to ensure teams IT equipment is effective and well maintained.Works with Service Foreman to resolve customer complaints and issues.
Processes
Maintains a constant focus on developing and improving internal processes (Kaizen) so our work is rapid, excellent, and consistent. Will conduct Kaizen events on a regular basis to facilitate these constant improvements for the goal of maximizing efficiency at all times. Works effectively with Aftermarket Sales Manager to ensure seamless execution of customers needs for equipment service. Works closely with department managers, leads, and especially service foreman to ensure seamless execution of tasks and strong collaboration at all times.Leverages PowerBI and data to enhance fast and efficient work, maintain focus on KPIs, and ensure data driven decision making.Ensures technicians are capable of maintaining all the various products that Norlift distributes.Oversees and sustains ASEC and Toyota Lean Management programs at all branches.Ensures monthly PM completion rate that exceeds industry standards and Norlift goals.Regularly reviews Work In Process and ensures Work Orders are completed and closed within a timeframe set by Norlift ownership. Manages Norlift fleet vehicles including acquisition, disposal, maintenance, compliance, fleet budgets.Works with Service Foreman to manage all shop and service equipment
Growth
Creates a climate of continuous improvement and facilitates ongoing Factory and other skills training with direct reports on a regular basis. Exemplifies the heart of a teacher and is constantly looking for opportunities to add value to others.Develops and executes annual departmental budget in alignment with Norlift ownership and company goals.Grows and maintains a technician team large enough to be highly responsive to customer needs and support Norlift growth goals. Work with Aftermarket Sales Manager on potential large aftermarket customers, developing strategies and attending presentations.Develops and maintains a Full Maintenance program that drives customer satisfaction, dealership profitability, and promotes strong customer retention. Generates new and creative ideas for profitable growth and improvement in the Service Department. Performs other duties as assigned
