Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $45,000 - $61,000 annual

The Clinical Research Associate supports the research mission of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and reports to the project's Principal Investigator. This position performs a wide range of research support functions including overseeing study participant recruitment and enrollment; study visit coordination and data collection; data analysis, and other regulatory and compliance duties associated with the laboratory's projects.MINIMUM:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and one year of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

PREFERRED:

Experience working with research or clinical trials.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

  • Oversees and coordinates study participant recruitment, enrollment and retention.
  • Oversees remote screening and monitors enrollment for study protocol compliance and obtains informed consent and performs other recruitment tasks.
  • Conducts outreach to prospective study participants.
  • Performs study interventions and administers study assessments according to study protocols and processes.
  • Collects data and analyzes data from a variety of sources including clinical trials, medical records and questionnaires.
  • Enters and codes data into databases as needed.
  • Maintains regulatory and compliance documents such as Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and documents, study protocols, and processes.
  • Monitors and reports adverse events.
  • Manages compliance and regulatory functions as needed and assigned.
  • Drafts reports for publication and dissemination on study findings and progress.
  • Composes materials and documents for study recruitment and public dissemination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
