Project Geologist (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Geologist to join our growing Environmental Business Line in our Nashville, Tennessee office. This is an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced geologist to join a growing team in one of the best-qualified consulting firms in the country. The Project Geologist will support environmental investigation, remediation and permitting projects, regulatory interaction and will work alongside and support senior-level managers on multiple projects.

Role accountabilities

  • Task management, with planned growth in the Technical Project Management Track
  • Work Plan writing and review
  • Technical report writing and review
  • Leading field kick-off meetings to familiarize staff with client procedures and site locations and conditions, lead field events either from the office
  • Coordinating field schedule and access with clients and coordinating work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits if appropriate
  • Interface directly with clients and regulators and may serve as point of contact for various size projects.

This position will primarily be office based but may include 5 to 10% travel for Site visits. Travel may include overnight stays within TN or the surrounding states. This role requires superior communication skills, both oral and written; skills to include public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team, and preparation/development of technical documents. Plus client-facing experience and a basic understanding of client development and maintenance and Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related field
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience

Preferred:
  • Tennessee PG

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $80461 - $132761. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
