Director of Investment Product Solutions (Finance)

The Director of Product Solutions is responsible for organizing, managing, and enhancing the platform of investment products offered to WM clients, including both third party and proprietary investment solutions. This role requires deep understanding of the WM investment philosophy and process, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external vendors to deliver client-centric investment offerings that align with the firm's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Platform Management: oversee end to end lifecycle of the investment product platform including proprietary products and third-party offerings (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs0
  • Product Strategy: collaborate with senior leadership to define the product strategy, ensure that the platform meets clients needs, market trends, regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to enhance offerings.
  • Third party product integration: onboard and manage relationships with third party product providers.
  • Partner with advisors to understand client needs and preferences, advocating for a tailored platform designed to meet these needs.
  • Market research and competitive analysis: Understand competitive landscape from a platform, product, and pricing perspective.
  • Regulatory and compliance oversight: ensure all products comply with relevant regulations.
  • Cross functional collaboration: consult with marketing, technology, operations, and investment teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Stakeholder communication: develop and present product updates, performance reports etc. to key internal stakeholders and leaders.
  • Collaborate with NTAM partners (product, Wealth Client Group, and Multi Manager teams) to ensure aligned delivery of solutions and messaging.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Econ, Business Administration, or related field. MBA, CFA, preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, wealth management or investment management
  • Experience in wealth management or financial services with a focus on client facing investment solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks

Salary Range:
$137,400 - 233,600 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
