What You'll Get to Do
The Material Handler 1 is focused on inspecting, labeling, and packing metallic work pieces, and reports to the Production Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual who has strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining safety and quality standards in the production process. A vital member of the Frame Packing Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Inspect all metallic workpieces for defects, such as scratches, dents, die marks, etc., as well as to ensure correct length, finish, hole placement, etc. to meet proper guidelines
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to the material
- Stock and wrap metallic workpieces
What We Are Looking For
- Basic math skills with the ability to read (or learn to read) a tape measure, and understand decimals/fractions
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
