Facilities Maintenance Technician (Maintenance)

Under little supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs various maintenance tasks on facilities in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay rate:  $22.00 - $33.00 per hour
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Repairs small equipment, including sweepers, scrubbers, landscape equipment, and small engines
  • Performs general construction (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • Landscape, including tending commercial sprinklers and controls, and mowing/pruning grass, and bushes
  • Inspects, adjusts, and repairs blowers, filters, and controls
  • Maintains HVAC equipment
  • Repairs fixtures
  • Installs copper pipe up to 1½ “
  • Installs/repairs plastic pipes up to 4”
  • Repairs water recycling systems
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years commercial maintenance technician experience
  • Considerable experience working with single phase (electrical)
  • Some experience with three phase and control maintenance (electrical)
  • Some overhead door experience (mechanical)

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 55 pounds or more
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge

Work Environment:

  • Noise: Moderate
  • Indoors and Outdoors
