Stores Person - Warehouse (Finance)



Summary

The Stores Person (Warehouse) will assist in daily operations of the materials department. The individual in this role will be a key driver in facilitating the efficient movement and flow of parts equipment within the Spokane hangars and outside vendors.

This position reports to the Materials Crew Lead and is an on-site only role based at our Spokane hangars.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Shipping/Receiving section
  • Have a working knowledge of the stores department inventory.
  • Demonstrate required computer and language skills to accomplish day-to-day tasks.
  • Demonstrate physical ability for heavy lifting.
  • Display skills for operation of AFI warehouse equipment.
  • Check and maintain satellite storage hangars.
  • Move parts and equipment between hangar locations as needed.
  • Local area delivery to pick up/deliver parts.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are accounted for and appropriately documented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge:

English Language - Ability to read, write and understand the English language.

Recall- Ability to retain serial numbers, quantities, location of inventory and accurately identify discrepancies.

Computer Literacy- Extensive use of enterprise resource planning and Microsoft Office software

Move, traverse - Must be able to move about inside office, hangar and around aircraft.

Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - Must be able detect objects at close range (within a few feet from the observer).

Remove, Transport, Position, Put, Install - Occasionally moves tools and equipment up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office and hangar environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and storage cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical office level and while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud noises. Exposure to industrial chemical smells, fragrances, animals, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to a hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards, uneven surfaces and stairs.

Supervisory Responsibility

None.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary, typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional, and possible short notice, need to work extended hours due to operational demand.

Travel
Frequent travel, primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to effectively use software programs to include Microsoft Office.

The pay range for this position in Washington state is $20.00-$22.00 per hour. The hourly rate is influenced by a variety of factors including, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, and geographical locations. Employees will be eligible to enroll in the company's medical/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending account, retirement plan with match contributions, company paid life & disability and financial wellness programs.
