Process Design Engineer (Finance)

Your Role
As a Process Design Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the planning and design of treatment systems for emerging contaminants-most notably PFAS-alongside engineers who are shaping the future of municipal water. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals across disciplines and work closely with a leading technical voice in the industry, gaining insight and mentorship as you contribute to real projects. In this role you will:
- Support the delivery of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects from planning through construction.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers.
- Execute the client's objectives by preparing construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and permit packages.
- Assist with the preparation of design calculations, process modeling, and equipment sizing for PFAS treatment (e.g., GAC, IX, RO), filtration, disinfection, and other unit processes.
- Work closely with the team to prepare design calculations, system modeling, and hydraulic analyses for pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and collection systems.
- Engage in on-site investigations site visits, pilot testing, construction support, and client coordination, gaining firsthand experience in project delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (required).
- 3-6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering (internship or co-op experience welcome).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred (or in progress).
- Exposure to or interest in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
- Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, and building a long-term career in water infrastructure.
CA Salary: $77,000- $95,000 dependent on experience
