Provide direct patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist and physician treatment plans, including documenting daily notes and weekly progress reports.
Support departmental operations by assisting in cleaning, equipment maintenance, and maintaining a safe and functional treatment environment.
Collaborate with healthcare team members, participating in care and rehab conferences, communicating patient progress, and assisting with training Restorative Aides.
Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver responsibilities prior to discharge.
Maintain compliance with state regulations, including continuing education and holding an active, valid PTA license.
Contribute to staff development through in-service training and knowledge sharing.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
Utilize electronic documentation systems such as Casamba and PointClickCare proficiently.
Physically capable of demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and occasional heavy lifting (up to 100+ lbs).
Adapt to a moderate-noise work environment, following all policies, procedures, and managerial assignments as needed.
