JEWELRY/DC ASSET PROTECTION SPECIALIST (Finance)



Develop and maintain Asset Protection (AP) programs related to the jewelry distribution center. Maintain close working relationships with main office campus security and Kroger Central Alarm Control (KCAC).   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 2 years security/loss prevention experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with asset protection terms and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and CCTV
Desired
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer Jewelers policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice
  • Retail security experience
  • Distribution center security experience
  • Law enforcement experience
  • Model Customer 1st behavior and deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain scheduling for complete monitoring coverage during distribution center (DC) work hours
  • Maintain access control and monitor traffic in and out of the distribution center facility
  • Respond to individuals presenting security concerns
  • Operate all monitoring and screening equipment in the jewelry security area
  • Answer asset protection-related phone calls
  • Participate in DC inventory process and assist in investigation of shortages
  • Investigate shipping discrepancies to or from the distribution facility
  • File insurance claims and shipping claims
  • Review and assign AP incident reports, input cases into the Loss Prevention Management System (LPMS)
  • Investigate security-related issues and concerns, including resolution and follow-up
  • Perform weekly cleaning of man-trap area
  • Provide back-up support for jewelry AP service coordinator
  • Perform all other projects/tasks as assigned
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
