Director of Food and Beverage - Waldorf Astoria Washington DC (Finance)

With 263 rooms, 38,000 square feet of event space, and 2 restaurants plus 3 bars, this is the new home for Washington DC's most consequential events, groundbreaking meetings, and unforgettable experiences.
Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

  • Participates in the formulation of strategic business plans for the hotel
  • Oversees daily operations of the F&B division
  • Ensure that the appraisal and succession planning systems and deadlines are utilized and adhered to
  • Complete ownership for the ongoing training requirements in the F&B division
  • Closely monitors the daily, weekly and monthly financial performance of all outlets providing solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measure
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual budget and marketing plan, taking ownership for the F&B Division sections
  • Preparation of F&B Annual Capex plan and management of Capex projects and expenditure
  • Work closely with Director of Property Operations to oversee maintenance of all F&B area as required
  • Establish monthly reporting system to monitor; Key Performance Indicators, operational expenses, project updates, SALT activities and other related tasks
  • Handles all guest complaints expeditiously to complete resolution
  • Oversee staff performance management of all F&B Team Members
  • Coach and develop middle management through coaching within the F&B Division
  • Provides monthly forecast of all F&B revenues and expense for the next three months
  • Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed to enhance the image and profitability of the food and beverage department of the hotel
  • Partners with Sales & Marketing to manage the roll out of the annual promotional schedule and to create additional promotions to improve the profitability and image of the F&B operation
  • Monitors and analyzes competitor operations in order to assess the activities and trends and to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition

The annual salary range for this role is $175,000-$200,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Apply
