Actuarial Senior Advisor - Pricing Design - Hybrid (Finance)



Are you passionate about building smarter actuarial tools that drive better decisions? Join our Pricing Design team to help reimagine the future of underwriting. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the tools underwriters rely on - integrating automation, enhancing flexibility, and improving accuracy. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement enhancements to our underwriting projection tool - a critical asset used across the organization. This is a high-impact role with visibility across Pricing, Underwriting, IT, and Methodology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Design & Development:Translate business needs into robust Excel-based specifications that drive our underwriting projection tool.
  • Innovate with Purpose:Design and implement enhancements that support automation, new methodologies, and expanded capabilities - such as integrating multi-funding renewal logic or multiple existing systems.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:Partner with Pricing Methodology, Underwriting Enablement, IT, and Agile project teams to gather requirements, vet solutions, and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Own the Process:From initial research to final testing, take ownership of the full lifecycle of tool enhancements.
  • Ensure Quality:Test and validate changes independently and in collaboration with stakeholders before handing off to development teams.
  • Support & Sustain:Share responsibility for helpdesk support and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field (strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in actuarial or underwriting roles, ideally in large group healthcare
  • FSA designation preferred; ASA acceptable if no longer pursuing exams
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong technical aptitude
  • Proven ability to manage complexity, drive results, and work independently
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Experience working in Agile environments is a plus

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 128,600 - 214,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
