Guest Facilities Staff (Project Management)



POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position supports the property maintenance of camp through the preparation of camp facilities for group usage by ensuring that all facilities are in a ready to use condition prior to group arrival and during their stay at camp.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensures facilities are in a ready to use condition prior to arrival and during group stays at camp by:
Following a cleaning checklist for all areas of assigned facilities depending on group needs.
Facilities may include but are not limited to: sleeping cabins, Dining Hall, restrooms, shower house recreation halls, parking areas, etc…
Checklist tasks may include, but are not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, trash removal, window cleaning, floor cleaning/maintenance, , snow removal/de-icing, painting, and light carpentry.
Assists in the maintenance of cabin heaters by cleaning, preparing, and pre-heating as needed prior to group arrival.
Maintains and organizes inventory of facility supplies and communicates restocking needs with supervisor.
Promptly creates work orders to aid in the organization of facilities repairs.
Maintain a clean and positive image along with YMCA attire/uniform.
Completes all reports and documentation timely including but not limited to: incident reports, accident reports, camper behavior reports, child abuse reports, and other business office forms.
Communicate and interact appropriately and professionally with campers, peers, volunteers and supervisors.
Other duties as assigned.

Upholding the YMCA's commitment to the safety and well-being of youth in our programs is a core responsibility of all staff regardless of position.
Attend required abuse risk management training.
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
Adhere to procedures related to managing and supervising high-risk activities.
Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in maintenance and housekeeping protocols
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions
Reliable transportation & flexible schedule are important
BCI/FBI background check results prior to first day of work; results must be compliant with ODJFS Prohibitive Convictions per 5101:2-12 and 5101:2-13 of the Ohio Administrative Code.

Indoor and frequent outdoor work, including all outdoor weather conditions with frequent exposure to dust, dirt, hay, mud and animal feed
Sitting and standing (including on the floor/ground) for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; but can occasionally be loud
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust
Some tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids/waste, or tissues.
Lifts and carries objects up to 50 lbs.
Physically active for long periods of time
Uses computer to access email, enter work orders, and update checklists
