Service Manager (Finance)



Service Manager

Position Summary

To ensure prompt and accurate service on vending, cooling, and fountain equipment to our customers by training, developing and managing our employees, in order to increase company sales and profits.

Essential Functions

  • Manages, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards.
  • Maximizes service levels to increase the sales and distribution of our products by monitoring and reviewing service calls, responding to field calls from employees and customers and by working with employees and our customers to maintain good working relationships.
  • Reviews service calls and key performance data to determine issues, concerns, goals, objectives, training and development needs.
  • Schedules all deliveries, installations and pick-ups for our fountain, vendor and cooler marketing equipment to customer locations; ensures that all equipment is prepared on time so that delivery dates and times are met.
  • Manages the delivery and installation process for National Pepsi accounts; ensures that deliveries and installations are performed within National Pepsi required time frames and that PepsiCo provides required payment for National account jobs.
  • Manages and coordinates Special Events (e.g. fairs, festivals); communicates with customers and Special Events personnel to optimize customer service, sales and resources.
  • Completes weekly time distribution reports, payroll reports, monthly key performance reports, inventory reports, open Equipment Move Order reports and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time off requests and time cards.
  • Ensures that equipment inventory levels are maintained according to established standards to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Provide parts requests by employees to parts department; research parts needed by Service Techs through the utilization of parts manuals and online information.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws).
  • Reviews distribution of daily work load time reports; makes corrections and provides details necessary to correct errors.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), pricing, customer account and contract information, and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Education

2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in Business required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business preferred.

Experience

1 - 3 years of s ervice management (or closely related) experience; previous experience with vending equipment repair strongly preferred. 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; VMMS.

Certifications & Licenses

Employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of: vendor, cooler, and fountain equipment repair; retail sales environment; beverage industry; general management principles; Microsoft Office Suite and VMMS database. Skill in: selling products and promotions; internal and external customer service; training and coaching; troubleshooting equipment. Ability to: train, develop, manage and lead a team; work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; relate to and influence customers; develop and maintain good working relationships; problem solve; measure; understand how equipment operates; delegate; operate a computer, handheld computer, hand cart and a variety of hand tools (e.g. screwdriver, pliers).
