IT Application Analyst - Digital Patient Experience (Finance)

** 2 years equivalent experience can substitute for an Associate degree plus must have 0-1 years analyst or other relevant experience (2-3 years total).
License and Certification: Epic Certification required; MyChart certification preferred. Person accepting this position, if not already certified in Epic MyChart, will be required to obtain and maintain one or more Epic module certification(s) as required by the position.System Development and Support - 45% Provides documented solution alternatives to problems/issues including adhoc reports to support offered solutions. Executes application design changes according to established procedures. Develops detailed, written, and inclusive application test plans. Performs complete testing of software and validates application requirements are met. Provides maintenance support for all application tables or reports. Provides user training and/or support to customers, training, and operations staff. Provides timely and accurate support to resolve application errors and user reported problems. Utilizes and adheres to production support standards including Total Support Desk. Documents application request using the Service Request and Analysis Checklist formats. Acts as a resource / subject matter expert for the UC Health Departments. Assists in the evaluation for system hardware and software products. Checks, verifies, processes standard application reports as required by end users. System Definition - 20% Defines and designs system tables, parameters and set up that optimizes application functionality. Effectively interacts with vendors and end users to evaluate and implement products. Provides information and designs for testing applications and contingency plans. Provides timeline for all non project enhancements. Develops accurate application functional and technical specifications. Coordination - 10% Assesses and escalates user requests and issues. Assists with vendor and consultant activities. Facilitates installation of application patches. Facilitates with other IS&T groups new equipment requests. Facilitates with IS&T groups optimal use of data center resources. Works with programming teams on application development. Provides consults to IT staff. Project Support - 10% Provides task level detail for project plans, including suggested schedules and skill set of team members required Provides accurate and timely individual status reports; adhere to PMO standards Documents and ensures timely resolution of project issues Coordinates effectively with team members and vendors Determines and manages workload priorities Assists with activities across IS&T Raises issues to the appropriate level Resource to projects Customer Relationship: - 10% Facilitates end user meetings Develops consensus within user groups Encourages and displays actions that result in high client satisfaction or process improvements Provides effective written and verbal communication to end users Provides consults to end users Other duties as assigned: - 5% Provides occasional backup for other application analysts | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities.
