Blade Operator - LeGrand Johnson Construction - Logan, Utah (Finance)



Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blade Operator for LeGrand Johnson Construction in Logan, Utah. As a key player in our production facility, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our cutting machines, ensuring high-quality production of our products. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who is looking to take their career to the next level.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate cutting machines to produce high-quality products in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure that all machines are properly maintained and serviced to prevent downtime and minimize production disruptions
  • Implement and adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime
  • Ensure that production is carried out in compliance with established quality control standards
  • Communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Blade Operator or similar role
  • Experience with "Blue Topping" preferred
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation
  • Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical stamina and strength for handling heavy equipment
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
