Engineering Program Lead (Information Technology)

We are seeking an Engineering Program Lead who can take ownership of API design, development, and testing against cloud infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend solutions that power modern applications, ensuring clean code and high performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Oversee the design, development, and testing of products or systems in low-code/no-code environments, as well as traditional full-stack developed software products and interfaces.

·        Ensure that projects meet technical requirements and industry standards.

·        Identify and implement innovative solutions to address software engineering challenges.

·        Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

·        Implement quality control measures to ensure that products or systems meet required standards.

·        Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance and quality.

·        Perform configuration audits of software packages and supporting processes.

·        Ensure SLAs are met for systems performance, reliability, availability, and security.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product teams, and government workstream leads associated with cybersecurity and compliance, SQA, Application Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and program governance.

·        Serve as a technical liaison between delivery teams, company leadership, and federal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical objectives and deliverables.

·        Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program team.

·        Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

·        Analyze project technical risks, including architecture scalability, technical debt and design trade-offs.

·        Provide leadership and guidance during time-sensitive technical escalations.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

·        7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related IT roles, with a strong focus on DevOps.

·        Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.

·        Strong understanding of digital transformation, digital process automation, and cloud-1st approaches to systems design.

·        Excellent technical leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

·        Proven experience in stakeholder management across internal teams and federal clients.

·        Experience standing up complex CI/CD and test-automation pipelines using a diverse set of tools and frameworks.

·        Expertise in developing with a proven track record of delivering full stack cloud-based solutions associated with distributed systems, micro services, and event-based architectures.

·        Experience with containerization, IaC, GitOps, and other DevSecOps practices for streamlined product delivery and deployment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

·        Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.

EDUCATION:

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

CLEARANCE: 

·        Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
