Supply Chain Planner (Finance)



Job Overview

The Supply Chain Planner will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of the entire supply chain by leveraging various planning tools to analyze opportunities, develop alternative strategies, and propose cost-effective solutions. This position entails overseeing the supply and capacity planning components of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The planner will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to provide essential information to production plants for successful execution of the Master Production Schedule to meet the demand needs of the business and ensure procurement has accurate data aligned to the current forecast.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Supply chain, procurement, operations and sales to identify opportunities to optimize the end-to-end supply chain
  • Analyze data, build reports and dashboards to present information and drive actions within the organization
  • Build scenarios to align with potential opportunities to allow for data driven decision making
  • Present alternate solutions and associated costs and impacts of scenarios to the business
  • Review and validate supply plan output for use in strategic planning models
  • Lead discussion and review inputs for monthly supply reviews with each factory
  • Lead discussion and review inputs for monthly supply Consensus
  • Drive continuous improvement in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Actively prioritize optimization opportunities to ensure attention is focused on most impactful projects
  • Work with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods
  • Project management support for plan execution

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2-5 years experience in demand/supply planning, procurement, or operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, create and present scenario based analyses.
  • Strong business and operational understanding for business connectivity impacts of alternate plans.
  • Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem-solving approach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree/ MBA.
  • 5+ years in sales and operations planning related field.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization software or programming.
  • Experience in Logility supply chain planning software.
  • Quantitative data modeling experience.

Working Conditions

• Work is mainly performed in an office setting, with some time spent in a manufacturing environment

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
