Flame Table Operator - 1st Shift (Manufacturing)
Join the team at Rotochopper! Were seeking a skilled and motivated Flame Table Operator on our first shift to set up, operate, and maintain flame cutting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves reading blueprints, adjusting machine settings, and inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Hours: 5:00am 3:30pm, Monday Thursday
5:00am 11:00am, Friday
** Overtime may be required based on production needs. Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary is expected
Responsibilities
Set up and operate flame table machines according to job specifications.Perform pre-operation checks to ensure equipment is properly prepared for use.Read and interpret blueprints, job orders to determine material requirements and cutting paths.Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards.Maintain production goals by following work instructions and contributing to process improvements.Assist in assembling cut parts as a part of the production process, when needed.Operate multiple machines or equipment as needed, ensuring smooth production flow with minimal downtime.Minimize waste of materials and time while maintaining high quality levels.Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and quality standards.
qualifications
Previous experience operating a flame table, CNC plasma, or oxy-fuel cutting equipment preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Basic math skills and ability to take accurate measurements using calipers, tape measures, and other tools.Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work in a team environment.Must be present on the job to safely perform the assigned duties.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.Be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Employee will go extended periods of time standing and performing repetitive tasks.The employee will also be required to stand; walk; use hand dexterity; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk and hear.Work conditions include an industrial environment with moving equipment, manufacturing machines, and welders, along with overhead cranes.
