Senior Staff Product Solutions Developer, Financial Institutions (Finance)



How you'll make an impact:

At Strata we are fueling the missions of lifeblood industries of our society: Healthcare, Financial Institutions, and Higher Education. As a Product Solutions Developer on the Financial Institutions team, you will work on financial performance management software that allows Financial Institutions to plan and forecast for greater efficiency and effectiveness in their operations. Every day you will collaborate with team members on designing, implementing, and troubleshooting financial planning and analysis functionality in Excel-driven web applications. We are looking for someone very familiar with financial planning and analysis in financial institutions, Excel, data modeling, DB concepts, SQL, as well as with reporting and business intelligence tools. To thrive in this role, you must possess strong communication skills to interact and drive effectively cross-functionally and across all levels of the team.

In this role, you will:

  • Work in a scrum team following an agile software development process
  • Manage development tasks through the full product lifecycle. This includes working directly with Product Owner and customers to understand requirements.
  • Leveraging your domain knowledge, design, write, and debug Excel-based functionality and BI reports independently and in groups. Ensure quality through standards and testing.
  • Collaborate with software developers on our web application suite where Excel-based functionality and software-engineered functionality connect.
    • Leverage AI tools to accelerate your solutions development.
  • Perform system maintenance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and correcting software defects.
  • Focus on performance tuning and improvement, balancing usability and automation.
  • Develop system documentation.

Our Technology Stack

  • Tooling: Microsoft Excel, Azure DevOps, Slack
  • Data & Analytics: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI
  • Process: SAFe Agile

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional experience with financial planning and analysis (budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, financial reporting, profitability processes and data modelling) in Financial Institutions, demonstrating progressive responsibility, impact, and leadership.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, database programming, SQL, financial report writing, business intelligence with PowerBI, Tableau or similar technology.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in technical environments across all team levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership on projects and technical, best practices, or process initiatives.
  • A commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our team.
  • Familiarity with agile software development utilizing Scrum, SAFe, or a similar process.
  • Eagerness to become an expert in the solution, with a hunger for knowledge and challenges.

Estimated Salary Range: $111,000 - $138,000Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
