Process Engineer (Finance)
We are looking for a Process Engineer responsible for process oversight and standardization to achieve business targets, with a focus on meeting both customer and Oerlikon standards. The Process Engineer will identify, implement, and sustain process improvements within the organization. The primary focus will be driving continuous improvement across all service-based businesses in local coating centers, enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing overall operational performance.
Your Responsibilities
• Drive continuous improvement activities with the goal of increasing profitability, improving efficiency, eliminating waste, building process knowledge, and developing a sustainable culture.
• Establish and implement Oerlikon Continuous Improvement methodology demonstrated through use of LEAN and other Continuous Improvement techniques.
• Conduct through analysis of existing processes to identify areas of improvement
• Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies
• Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to identify root causes of issues and track improvements.
• Work closely with teams to drive and manage change initiatives.
• Develop training programs and materials to ensure successful implementation of process improvements
• Lead and execute improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
• Define & maintain data collection systems for key processes to predict process failures and highlight areas of improvement to improve process cost, lead times, and equipment downtime. (process protocols control and or trending's, CONQ trending, others)
• Standardize, & maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) & Work Instructions (WI) for all processes within the facility.
• Develop new standardized process offerings when required by the business. (new equipment, new coating products, specialized customer requirements)
• Ensure all new equipment is installed, commissioned, & released to operations in line with internal SOP's along with CSC and service team.
• Provide technical process/manufacturing input for quoting supporting expansion and PTT.

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $109K to $133K base salary. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
