Quality Enhancement Specialist 1st Shift (Finance)

Johnsonville, LLC Quality Enhancement Specialist Pay Range: $26.27/hr - $27.92/hr Hours: 5 :30am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands) Responsibilities:
- Consistently manufacture "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications
- Work together with other Quality Enhancement Specialists to obtain World Class results
- Learn how to start up and operate foreign object detection equipment
- Conduct safety checks and run calibration standards through unit prior to production
- Sort through rejects when there is a questionable image on the reject or when there are excessively high levels of rejects
- Accurately track data from all production lines in an Excel spreadsheet
- Analyze data trends over time and communicate to meat suppliers
- Investigate any foreign object trends that emerge
- Communicate information to the production lines via occasional TAILGATE meetings
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and entering program information into machinery
- Verifying that machinery is working correctly
- Pull packages out of bins and visually inspect
- Entering data into Excel programs
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven experience using Excel as a data entry and reporting tool
- Experience with a statistical software package is preferred
- Quality Assurance/Control background
- Knowledge of statistics in the QA area
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Mechanical skills necessary for equipment set up and operation
- Troubleshooting/problem solving any run problems
- Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend and twist
- Ability to stand frequently and walk constantly
- Proactive team player, dependable and detail-oriented
- Willing to work in cold conditions
