Job Description
Primary Function of Position:

As Commercial Learning Manager, you will create, lead, and deliver training programs for Intuitive employees to learn about our technology and how we create value for customers. The Commercial Learning Manager will spearhead the education of a broad range of departmental functions across all of Intuitive while serving as a key steward of Intuitive culture. This individual has a passion for teaching and enthusiasm to connect employees to our company mission. The ultimate goal of the Commercial Learning Manager is to measurably improve business knowledge and employee experience for the entire Intuitive organization.

Essential Job Duties:

Culture Steward

  • Become a subject matter expert and model for our culture, mission, and founding principles
  • Educate Intuitive employees on mission and cultural pillars

Technical Product Training
  • Become a subject matter expert for Intuitive robotic-assisted technologies including da Vinci surgical systems and Ion endoluminal system
  • Maintain certification of Intuitive product portfolio
  • Educate Intuitive employees on:
    • da Vinci Instruments and Accessories
    • da Vinci Advanced Technologies
    • da Vinci 5, Xi, and SP Surgical Systems
    • Digital solutions
    • Ion endoluminal system
  • Deliver product demos to employees and campus guests, in support of business needs across enterprise

Commercial Business & Sales Training
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert across key clinical specialties such as general surgery, colorectal, gynecology, thoracic, and urology
  • Educate Intuitive employees on relevant clinical procedures and clinical value propositions
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert on Intuitive clinical sales process
  • Educate Intuitive employees on commercial strategies and market dynamics
  • Build and execute specialty sales training programs including but not limited to onboardings, immersion courses and accelerator programs.
  • Conduct routine field rides with sales to maintain a relevant knowledge base for how we engage customers and how customers use our products

Training Programs
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training programs to accelerate the organization's proficiency with Intuitive technology
  • Build and execute workshops, programs and other learning events for sales teams
  • Build and execute workshops, programs and other enterprise learning events for corporate teams to learn about our products and customer business.
  • Create curricula, agendas and training materials as needed for training programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to create best in class training experiences aligned with organizational needs

Global Training Process
  • Develop and support standardized procedures for onboarding, certification, and facilitation across regional Commercial Learning teams.
  • Create training frameworks for new product launches, product updates, procedure indications and other initiatives
  • Implement train-the-trainer programs to ensure unified learner experience and consistent global standards.
  • Partner with regional training leads to adapt programs locally while maintaining centralized structure and quality.
  • Create toolkits, playbooks, and templates that regional teams can implement.

Administrative
  • Build training program agenda(s)
  • Conduct needs analysis to inform program design
  • Define, measure, and track program key performance indicators
  • Follow relevant Standard Operating Procedures and training processes
Qualifications
Required skills and experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of training experience
  • Minimum 3 years sales or marketing experience in medical device or high technology industry preferred
  • Demonstrates effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience public speaking with small and large sized groups (in-person & virtually)
  • Key competencies: Effective Communicator, Engaging Presenter, Proactive, Innovative, Facilitation & Teaching, Critical Thinking, Network Building, Organizational Awareness
  • Ambition and strong work ethic
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and work under strict time deadlines, while producing quality deliverables
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Interest in and ability to interact with a globally distributed, multi-cultural, and multi-generational audience
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree a plus
  • Ability for travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $130,600 USD - $188,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $117,600 USD - $169,200 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader. Apply
