Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Field Services Manager (Central California) to join our Landfill Gas (LFG) Operations, Maintenance & Monitoring (OM&M) Team in the Southern California Area (Diamond Bar, CA). In this role, you will take a prominent role in managing a team of project managers, project engineers and environmental field technicians and will also be managing LFG OM&M projects in Central California. This role requires contributing to Business Development and Client Management along with providing LFG technical skills, including the planning, design, permitting, and construction of biogas and landfill gas systems, solid waste handling and disposal facilities as well as other environmental projects. You will work alongside other Regional Managers located throughout the company and across the country, and you will oversee and direct the activities of project managers, engineers, scientists, technicians, and clerical staff toward successful completion of projects and managing the Landfill Gas OM&M operation for Central California. This position will combine office assignments with occasional site visits and client management. The pay scale for this position is $145K to $225K per year, based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

• Manage team of project managers, project engineers, and environmental field technicians
• Project Management of Landfill Gas OM&M Projects in Central California
• Business Development and Client Management
• Prepare proposals and meet with clients and regulators
• Prepare construction cost estimates
• Analyze systems and put processes in place based on group operational objectives and regulatory compliance
• Prepare permit documents for new site developments, permit modifications, and site closures
• Perform technical analysis of biogas to renewable and solid waste projects in California and the Western United States
• Assist in Design of Landfill Gas Collection and Control Systems
• Work in all phases of a project from investigation to construction/remediation, including preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, bid documents, and certifications
• Coordinate field monitoring and sampling activities and review operational monitoring data for Landfill Gas Collection and Control Systems
• Implement safe work practices
• Oversee construction projects for conformance with engineering and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Geological or Environmental Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus)
• 7+ years of experience in managing Landfill Gas OM&M projects.
• Supervisory experience of managing teams of more than 5 staff members (including project managers, environmental field technicians, and project engineers)
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• Civil Professional Engineering certification (Civil PE) in California is a plus
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D or GIS skills is a plus
• Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports
• Ability to write environmental reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Experience with biogas and landfill gas systems and the solid waste industry
• Proven technical skills in design and/or construction
• Outstanding knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, and PDF editors (Bluebeam or Adobe)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and unwavering personal integrity
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment
• Valid driver's license
