Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Inpatient Otolaryngology Surgery (Finance)



Work Schedule :

100% FTE, 3,12-hour shifts with additional 12 hour shift every month. Shifts are 5 AM- 5 PM or 6 AM- 6 PM. Future 1:6 weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational need.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide comprehensive care to adult otolaryngology patients in an inpatient setting and collaboration with interdisciplinary team consisting of residents, speech/swallow therapy, case management and nursing
  • First Assist in the OR (preferred but not required)
  • Assist with the following procedures: Nasal Cautery, Rigid Nasal Endoscopy, Flexible Diagnostic Laryngoscopy, and Tracheostomy Changes.
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.

Education :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Preferred - Master's degree or higher.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP. These include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Gerontology.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
