IT Network Security Specialist (Information Technology)
Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and investigate security alerts, incidents, and anomalies in real-time
Conduct regular security audits of network infrastructure, applications, and user access controls
Manage and maintain security software including antivirus, anti-malware, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare regulations
Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts including software patching and security updates
Monitor and audit user access controls, permissions, and privileged account management across all systems
Conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities
Respond to and investigate security incidents, including forensic analysis and documentation
Manage security awareness training programs for all staff members
Maintain documentation of security configurations, incident reports, and compliance activities
Collaborate with third-party vendors and auditors during security assessments and compliance reviews
Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and potential data breaches
Develop and test incident response procedures and disaster recovery plans
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry's best practices
Assist with regulatory compliance audits and reporting requirements
Assist with network admin related tasks
Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position
